Outer Space

This week is Outer Space theme week at BSR. An archive of my show will be available right here, and if you're into ambient and or electronic music, I'd suggest you check out the spacey mix. I made a cheesy graphic for the station. Someone please take away my gradient tool.

The first thing that came to mind after hearing the assigned theme was Hearts of Space, which in turn brought up wonderful memories of youth, listening to NPR in my mom's car. During those times I never liked Stephen Hill's soothing voice and playlists, but upon reflection I realize now that I would be very much into the show. NPR is one of those things that has come full circle in my life in many ways: Car Guys, Prairie Home Companion, This American Life, etc. If only I had known as a kid! If only I would have believed my mom, when after waking up at 6am she would encourage me to go back to bed, claiming that one day I would dream of being able to sleep in. If only I had known what was to come, having promised her I would never like a girl. Oh, the things life brings!
